RIP Aakash Shah!…

I write this a lot of sadness. Aakash Shah was a genius amongst us. To me he was one of the very few who fully understood AR Rahman’s music and the nuances therein.

He was my very good friend, although i never got a chance to meet him. He used to ping me often asking whats in store from my side. He greeted me and wished be good luck for my work in a motion picture.

I adored him and his attention to detail. I begged him to release more of his detailed works. He used to send me samples of his works, asking if it was ok. He used to ask technical questions and i found myself useless in front of him. He had so much going for him. His attention to detail was something that very few could devote.

I once promised him that once he is done with his demo CD, i will ensure it reached AR Rahman’s studio through our senior members in this group.

Aakash Shah was gifted.He is still gifted.

As a dedication, i humbly release his unfinished version of – Rehna Tu. Hear it. Feel the emotion that he infused.

Beach Vibes – A Super Cool Track to checkout!

Offlate i have started a liking towards this genre called Deep House. There are various sub-cats for this genre. Deep House as such is from House, but it is a lot of sublime and has a prominent bassline. Ibiza has this fad for ‘beach house’. A breezy, chill out variant that is easy on you and very groovy. An ideal mix of ambient stems added on a groovy loop. I love this genre! Since i could not find much of it, i made one myself. I call it ‘ Beach vibes’. Its got all the relaxo ingredients with a super cool beat and bassline. You must check it out.

Masakali Instrumental by Aakash Shah

This song by far has the most simplest and catchy hook in recent times. Masakali means nothing specific, yet it has caught on as a phrase for teasing (in a nice way). This accidental song by Rahman had taken the nation by storm with a wind of freshness and innocence. The track has simple arrangement and a brilliant singer.

Using a peogen as a metaphor and giving it an indicative name was a super concept supported by an equally simple track.And here we are with a spell-bounding instrumental by Aakash Shah.

This is amazing. One of the many instrumentals i would be posting from time to time by a very talented man Aakash Shah. He has a penchant for arranging instrumentals and he is good or what!Check out his version of Guzarish. I know how much painstaking effort it is to play,time it, mix it and make corrections. Takes quite an effort folks. Do lend your ears to this.Some outstanding piece of arrangement here.
