Aromale – Malayalam Lyrics and Translation

The awesome track in Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya – Aromale makes malayalam sound like never before. Sung by Alphonse to the tune by AR Rahman, this track just redefines anything conventional in Indian Cinema. Here are the lyrics,  courtesy Farshaad Khaleel and RajMohan.

Vamalayenthi Varum Thennal, (O..Breeze blowing through the mountains.)
Puthu Manavalan Thennal, (O..Breeze, decked up like a bridegroom)
Palli Medayae Thottu Thalodi Kurushil Thoyuthu Varumbol, (Coming after worshipping the cross at the altar..)
Varavelpinu Malayala Kara Manasammatham Choriyum, (O Land of Kerala….grant permission for welcoming it..)
Aaromalae, Aaromalae, Aaromalae, Aaromalae…. (O Beloved….O Beloved…O Beloved…..O Beloved…)

Swasthi Swasthi Su Muhurtham, (On this very auspiciousness occasion )
Sumungali Bhava Manavatti (O Bride..,May you be blessed with a long wedded life)
Swasthi Swasthi Su Muhurtham, (On this very auspiciousness occasion )
Sumungali Bhava Manavatti (O Bride..,May you be blessed with a long wedded life)

Shyama Rathri Than Aramanayil, (In the inner sanctum of the dark evening…)
Mari Nilkayo Tharakame, (O star..why are you so reserved ? )
Pulari Manjillae Kathiroliyay, (Like a ray of light in the morning mist,)
Akalae Nilkayo Penmaname, (Are you standing afar…my lady ?)

Chanju Nilkuma Chillayil Nee,Chila Chilambuyo Poonkuyilae (O Koel..did you shake the bent branch of the tree ?..)

Manchinavilaee, Marayoliyae Thediyathiyo Poorangal (Did the festivities arrive with the flames of the mud lamps ?)

Swasthi Swasthi Su Muhurtham, (On this very auspiciousness occasion )
Sumungali Bhava Manavatti (O Bride..,May you be blessed with a long wedded life)

Aaromalae… Aaromalae…. (O Beloved….O Beloved….)

Kadalinae, Karayodiniyum Padan Sneham Undo ? (Does the sea still possess the love to serenade the shore ?)
Mezhukuthurikalayi Urukan Iniyum Praanayam Manasil undo ? (Is there still love in the mind..for melting like candle wax ?)
Aaromalae.. Aaromalaeee.. Aaromalaee (O Beloved….O Beloved…O Beloved…..O Beloved…)

Aaromalae.. Ohh.. Ho ! (O Beloved….)

Special Thanks to Rajmohan for the exclusive translation

But the lyrics are stupid… It does not fit onto the tune well in the same way as the other songs in the film except hosanna.
Hosanna song has the A.R.R touch.

the lyrics don't fit!!?? Its the best sync i've heard in years..Stunning piece of work from rahman..he can compose songs like hossana in his shower, this has his soul in it. You may need to consult a pschyiatrist, Whats wrong with you. Its a song that even your grand child will listen to. Not Hossana.

Really???? Wish you were here??? Are you serious? So what does "Hosanna" sound like?? Does it sound like Smoke on the water to you?

For all the people who understand music, I am 10000% in agreement. This song is Godly. Hats off to Rehman!!

Once again our Tamil brothers and sisters are proving that we are blind before the truths and before politicians. There is no attack or provokation against Tamil people, They said only aginst Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi who do not allow the construction of an age old (expiry date is over)dam. All the people of Kerala says that Kerala would give water to Tamil nadu as much as they want. But the security of Life is more important than water. We may not understand when we are not living under a dam(age old ): We had seen The Psunami. When often in Mullapperiyar earthquake takes place, who can guarantee that the age old dam will not break If it happens we tamilians will not get forgiveness from Kadavul. Now the politicaians can just say something for their selfshness. we people must not move simply attacking our friends. To begin a riot is easy , but to stop -not easy. Be intelligent and we should not make the world say that we are foolish sensitive people who dicks our(India’s) own grave .
