Having said that , i am sure there will be and there are other musicians who believe their "creative" work might be unsurpassed etc and that is their by and large only their sole perspective and i dont think they intend it to reflect mass appeal. it could be a personal ego thing or just a more technically proficient statement. But one thing that does make Rahman definitely stand out regardless of his music is his musicmanship. He has been humble and stuck to this roots. This man has definitely paid his dues and earned his reputation.
